Structured Cabling

Structured cabling is the foundation everything else sits on. Get it wrong and you spend the next decade working around it. Telappliant designs and installs cabling for UK business premises - office refits, new builds, data rooms, and complex environments like manufacturing and warehousing.

Standards-based design starts with what you need to support today and the next 10-15 years - bandwidth, PoE devices, access points, IP cameras, telephony and IoT. We typically install Cat6A as standard for new work, with single-mode fibre for backbone and inter-floor.

Containment, routing and labelling matter as much as cable choice. We design containment that supports future moves and changes, route to avoid interference, and label to a documented scheme so the next engineer (us or anyone else) can find their way around.

Testing is full Fluke certification on every cable with results provided as part of handover documentation. Any cable that doesn't pass spec gets re-terminated or replaced.

Refurbishment work usually involves working around existing infrastructure and live business operations. We run it as a structured project with named engineers, agreed working hours and a clear cut-over plan.
