About emergency broadband
When a leased line goes down or a new site is waiting for a fibre install, an emergency broadband service keeps the business trading. Telappliant ships pre-configured 4G/5G routers, typically next working day, with inclusive data and a static IP so VPNs and SIP services keep working.
Routers are dual-SIM with primary and backup mobile networks - if EE is down at your postcode, the router fails to Vodafone or O2 automatically. Where reception is poor, we supply external antennas and survey the site remotely.
Configuration is templated for your business. The replacement router has the same Wi-Fi SSIDs, VLAN structure and firewall rules as your normal connection, so users plug in and carry on without IT intervention.
Emergency broadband is also used as the bridge during new-site fit-out. While Openreach delivers the long-lead fibre, your site is already live on 4G/5G with full security, voice and access to cloud applications.
We monitor every emergency connection 24/7 from our NOC. Data usage is included up to a fair-use cap; we will alert before you hit it and provide top-ups if you need them.
